Take Care,
Andy, tried to call you about 5 minutes ago but I am thinking you guys are probably closed for the day. I should get done with work earlier tomorrow, so I will try again.

I used a BFH and a long pry bar to bend the flat part the crossmember, although mine never was as close as yours. this is with new QTP's.

Impossible to have a bad batch if they paid regular price. I thought you guys knew, you get what you pay for.

I just installed my qtp's back in June with ZERO problems, stock motor mounts at 95k and almost no y pipe hitting, headers dont touch anything! When I installed them they slipped right in, especially the pass side. love these headers.

I have QTP's and poly motor mounts. My one tube hits the Kmember too. I'll try notching it and see what happens.

I have had no luck contacting QTP by phone. I tried twice on Monday and 3 times on Tuesday. All that happens is the phone rings and rings, nobody answers and apparently they dont have voicemail.

I am going to try again today, but this is the last straw. If I can't get a hold of them today I am selling and going with another brand.

I'm having the same issue with their headers and Y-pipe. Has this ever been resolved? Did QTP ever get in contact with you?

I am sorry to hear this guys. I just removed my QTPs due to the driver side collector leaking horribly where the primaries are welded in (not completely welded on QTPs) and contact with the frame that drove me nuts. I also had their shitty ******* y-pipe and after a year of living with their ******* headers, I just bit the bullet and bought/installed ARH headers and y-pipe. Easiest header and y-pipe install with zero fitment issues. I really wished I had gone the ARH route the 1st time around, it would have saved time and money. I know this doesn't really help those that already have the QTP headers, however I hope it dissuades someone else from buying QTPs. Their customer service sucks donkey ***** to boot, way to stand behind your products ********. Good luck gentlemen, hope you are able to resolve your issues.

hmm reading all this makes me want to buy an aftermarket K-member along with whatever headers I eventually get, has anybody installed one on their car? Is it worth it? I'd like to make my car as light as possible and with an aftermarket k you wont have any clearence issues no matter what brand headers you go with right?

Same problem, passenger side, did the poly motor mount. That worked for about 6 months, then started again. Ended up removing the header, and dimpling that tube about 200 thousands.

the quality control at qtp is less then desirable imo. some of the headers fit great. i have installed a few sets. mine rub the steering knuckle and the pass side k member. as well as hang very low on the driver side. stainless moves a lot when it gets welded is all i can think of but still its a little ridiculous to me as most other vendors and produce consistant results with fitment.

I have qtp headers and y pipe on my 2001 SS it has only 54,000 miles never been wrecked and has had subframes in for a long time. Has the original mounts. Mine dropped right in and I have plenty of clearance. ( I can fit my fingers between the pipe and k frame) My car has lowering springs and I have a good amount of ground clearance. Ill try n post some pics, maybe itll help.
