Failed CA visual, need help
Failed CA visual, need help It passed the sniffer with pleanty of room, however, they want the EO#'s for my BBK throttle body and SLP MAF. Since the BBK TB states that its 50 state legal, I'm pretty confident that I can get an EO sticker from BBK. But the problem is with the SLP MAF. The SLP website says its not legal in CA, but it didn't say that years ago when I bought it. What do I do now? I don't want to change it out because my tune was with the SLP MAF, I'd have to pay to redo it. I also sold the stock one 
Can I use the EO# for the Vette MAF since I heard thats essentially what the SLP one is?
Are there any after market MAF's that are 50 state legal?

i would just buy a stock one for cheap and use it..it wont affect your tune, at all..honestly i would just sell the slp cuz it isnt worth it imo...but neways just put the stock one and you will be fine tune wise,and you can just put the slp maf back on when finished..
the 85mm bbk throttle body is not legal in california. i had the same problem with mine. and just throw your stock maf on just for the drive there. and when ur done with the visual throw your slp junk back on. it wont affect your tune.

just pay to pass smog,
I now see that Granatelli MAF is legal in CA and even has the EO# too. Guess I could drop $300 for one, sell the SLP, and call it good. But yeah, its totally fucked up those ******** won't pass a car that runs as clean as it did (even with a cam) just cuz of two things that don't effect smog.

the 85 maf really isnt worth...you can buy a stock one and put it on,which will make you pass...then i would sell the slp..you will notice no differences with or without the slp maf,its a waste...dont waste your money on a 300 granatelli either

I have an extra stock one that cam with an intake and tb I bought. Someone removed the screen on it tho. PM me if you need it, just offer me something reasonable for it.
The Calif state keeps a record of every test pass or fail. you can go to the Calif DMV site and search on your vin or license plate and it pull up everything for as long as they have kept records.

Just get a stocker and have it ported and polished, It will flow enough for what you have. There are many sponsors that will handle it for you if you don't want to DIY...
Also.. the C.A.R.B #'s are for specfic cars make, years, model and engines. If your cars is not on the list of the CARB #.. it will fail again.
