the evil tick ok so last week i started hearing this ticking sound while my car was idling, and it was at the same time i had my o2 sensors go out on me (2nd time in 6 months). the ticking would progress as the engine rmps went up. now this sounds like 2 things: either an exhaust leak or something internal.
i had my car on stands the other day replacing the o2 sensors, and i started it up, then crawled under there to see if i could pinpoint where it was. i checked the clamps on the collectors: good. checked the merge, good. checked all fluids, cuz it sounds almost like coming from trans, all good. any ideas on this?

hard so say without being there to hear it for my self but i would say it doesnt sound mechanical, sounds almost like one Cylinder isnt firing but like i said hard to say not being there... which also tie it into your O2 sensors going out.

ok so i crawled under there after replacing both o2 sensors with bosch 13111s, and i (think) i pinpointed it to the driver's side, but unsure. was about a quart low on oil, replaced the fluid, and still hearing it.
