Hmmm $49 Seems like a good alternative to the epoxy mods. Same principal as the airfoils for the TPI throttle bodies.

Think a lot of Vette guys use them, looking at their sigs seen some with Vararam. Now I know what it is.

Vararam sells this product as well as a complex air intake for the C5. My guess is the guys have the air intake in their sigs, not this product.

A quote from the sales literature:

"..changed the shape of the entrance to build up a higher velocity charge at each given RPM. This allows the intake charge force in the manifold to be increased = increased throttle response and added torque and power under the curve where you can use it."

Higher velocity for a given rpm means a smaller opening, and less wide open throttle airflow. Obviously the liner makes the flow area smaller. Generally porting an LS-1 TB increases the flow as well as reshapes the interior. Less overall airflow generally means less max power.

My $.02

It looks like it will block the IAC passage as well.

Smaller hole = higher velocity...I.E. LESS flow!

No way would I want that. I want a LARGER hole with MORE flow.

No comment, if you can't say anything nice don't say it at all.

There werent even any holes in the display model? Also why do they only advertise it for trucks?

I'll stick with my 80mm BBK.....

if you look close at the display pic, it looks like the cuts for the AIC and EVAP system.....but I would think it would whistle liks crazy...

unlike a epoxy and port job, this is filling up the TB (making it smaller than 75mm) so you will get even less flow.....and "increasing" velocity (making the TB smaller) won't really increase low end (I know the larger 80mm BBK didn't hurt low end) because you still have the long runners of the intake to build low end....

I say its like that little "Tornado" thing that you stick in your intake to "build 10 hp"...

Look at the dyno graph on the site. It's clear that the increase was due to the correction of the Air/Fuel ratio.

Ive seen the Vararam before but im not quite sure how it works I will read up on it and get back to ya!!Looks like something I would not want-looks like it restricts flow.

Somebody get one and dyno test it, so we'll know how much power it costs.
