Dual Cutouts & SLP LT's

Re: 3 Anyone running cutouts slipped over the header collectors on SLP LT's? I want to remove the cats and replace them with cutouts linking the headers and Y-pipe. Some trimming to the Y may be necessary, but what I want to know is if anyone has done this?
The reason I want the cutouts in the described location is that I have a 2 1/2" I-pipe (the stock SS one), and I'd like to avoid having the exhaust merged into the smaller diameter pipe in the case of putting a single cutout at the usual location.

Re: 3 I would say just get the single cut out in the usual spot on the I pipe, either that or get a 3 inch to 2 and 1/2 inch I pipe made for you when you have the cut out installed. But that's my .02 worth.
Re: 3 clearance would be a PITA with cutouts right there. You would either have to angle them up towards the floorboard(not good), or angle them towards the road hitting everything you go over(not good).

Re: 3 Clearance is already a PITA with the SLP's. The cats hit everything. But yeah, I guess it was the rational decision. Moot point, but can't you angle them out sidways? Like cheapo sidepipes projecting from the Y?
