Default Help with intake install

I didn't but the coolant lines to make the switch from ls1 to ls6 intake. I'm taking the ribs off the bottom of intake but the orange sponge thing on bottom is not allowing me to take some of them off. Do i take it off them?

Also, How could you tell if you broke the oil pressure sensor? Is it some thing you could see physically?

How do you know if you broke the Oil Pressure sending Unit? At the very back there should be a black tube sticking out of the engine with an electrical circuit adapter on it. You should be able to tell if it's cracked if it's there and if it broke off it's probably sitting in the flat valley where the coolant lines run. If you haven't pulled the LS1 intake yet just be very careful that the hose to the Brake Booster does not get caught on it.

just grab it and wiggle it. If it feels solid its not broken. You wont break it if you lift up on the back of the intake and then pull it forward, and opposite putting it back in.

Here is the picture of the oil sending unit, you cant see it unless the intake is off. Try a search, there is a lot of info on pulling the intake off. If you follow the brake booster hose with your hand to the back of the intake you can feel where it comes very close to the oil sender.
