Default Trouble shooting after F.A.S.T 92/92

I have installed my combo, and took it out for a test drive. When i started the car it idled about 400 rpm above usual which i wasnt to concerned about. Adjusted the blade screw and got it taken care of.

Left my house and began the drive, when i accelerate and then let off of the gas, the car will stay at whatever RPMs i clutched it at for about 5 seconds before it returns to normal. Also when i take the car out of gear coming to a stop it stays at rpm and then increases slightly before coming back down. OR sometimes it doesnt come back down so i have to Clutch/Brake it (almost kill the car) to get it back to idle rpm.

Also when i turn the A/C on or off at idle it raises the rpm to almost 2000 for about 3 seconds and then returns to normal.

I have checked all of my connections and hoses, from what i can tell i havent missed anything.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

And before i get my ***** busted, i tried about 10 searches and only came up with one post which was of no use to my problem.

Default Try the idle relearn proc.

You may have the blade open to far. The idle air control could be sticking. Possible vacumm leak. The blade could be sticking open

I thought someone mentioned that the 92s MAP hole is a little better fit than the 90s were but you might want to check it out anyway. Good luck,

Larry

sounds like you need your idle air table and park table adjsuted. My suggestion is to get a tune

Thanks for all the help, i did a "re learn idle" and the 5 minute idle / 5 minute idle with ac on. it now only idle surges with the ac on, but no where near as bad as it was, therefore i think ill just roll with the windows down until i can afford hp tuners and tune out the problem.

I had the same problem as well. Definitely get yourself a tune. My car was running rich and the ses light came on on the way to my tuner. Ran great after the tune!

Changing the intake manifold and throttle body has a huge impact on idle characteristics, almost as much as a cam does. You definitely need a tune when swapping to a FAST intake and throttle body.

My 90/90 had a hanging idle with my Nick Williams (which were supposed to be trouble free). My tuner fixed it with some tuning.
