Question Ruff Idle

Hey guys just picked up an 02 camaro Z28.

I'm noticing that it idles a bit ruff. The guy who owned it before me has paper work on new plugs, wires, fuel filter, injector cleaner ( Everything looks good on the fuel table chart) He also has paper work on a new Y pipe, and a SLP lid.
It defiantly feels like its idling a bit funny. An clue? I'm hoping maybe the idle is just a little low, its sitting around 750/800 rpms.

Thanks in Advanced.

Ps: The car only has 37k miles on it.

Auto or manual? Auto are set to 550-600 rpms in drive, while manuals are around 900 rpms. Are you sure it doesn't have a cam in it? If it doesn't then check all the plug wires and ensure they are good and tight on the coils and plugs. Although he has paper work showing that stuff was replaced, I wouldn't trust it unless I pulled the plugs. Then again, I would still replace everything for my sake.

its an M6. Yup positive there is no cam in her. He does have a wild stereo hooked up to her though, maybe its draining the power? I cant wait to rip all the "heavy" equipment out of her. I bet my subs weigh 100 pounds.

Ah keep the subs in there! Who cares about going fast, it's all about the woofer! I think it has a cam in there, with no supporting mods...

No no. I plan on ripping out the subs, amps, back seats, A/C and spare tire and tools. Maybe even the powerwindw motors.

I would lean towards a bad wire or cracked plug, possibly a coil.

check the stuff like plugs and wires and go from there.

Keep it simple and start small.

check the MAF and make sure it is nice and clean... also check the pcv stuff and make sure no hoses are leaking or just hanging unattached. Like summerwolf said, start with all the little things!
