i am also thinking of adding just an ls6 intake to my 99 FRC i have lt's no cats, x-pipe, CAI, ported TB. i run between 8.0's and 8.20's with 60's between 1.90 to 2.2's. i just bought some MT et street radials and i am hoping with tires and ls6 intake i can have a solid high 7sec 1/8 times and low 12's???

wow i didnt realize that the LS6 i/m swap would register seat of the pants with bolt ons only. If its that good ill have to look for a couple on ebay. The real question? How much of a pain in the *** is it to do? Is it like a header install or what?

I felt more SOTP with my Ported TB than I did with the LS6 intake.

Also, I dyno'd 228hp without the intake and 332hp with it. Talk about disappointing. Those numbers are with out the Ported TB. I dropped a .1-.2 with it though

I'm curious about this relative to a fast intake/TB, which is $1200? for 25 hp? I realize they are more effective for a built motor.

Don't forget if you are swapping out an LS1 intake for an LS6 or F.A.S.T remember to do the coolant line mod, as your coolant lines will no longer fit under the intake.

So from what alot of you guys are saying I can expect to see anywhere from 4-20 hp from an LS6 swap and TB? That is a huge margin...are these tuned numbers? I was expecting around 20 with the LS6 and TB before tune.

If your car has ever been at a dealership (New or used) there is a good chance it was swapped out there. Lots of guys with F-bods that work at dealerships participate in this practice .
