7hp from the intake, about 5 from the TB....so my guess is 12hp.

if you got lt's you would net higher gains, i would say get lts first then put the ls6 intake on.

i think what the op meant was if anyone that has swapped from a ls1 to an ls6 intake felt a seat of the pants difference or saw a difference in 1/4 et's from that alone.

Although i havent yet swapped my ls1 intake i did do the egr block off with the header install. (probably worth nothing hp wise but the knowledge that exhaust isnt being dumped into my intake is nice) and you'll eliminate the long *** brass piece in the opening to the intake - total cost 50 bucks. Didnt see headers in your sig - why not do that first? It would cost the same for a more noticeable difference imo. I think an intake upgrade should be the last thing you do in a gradual bolt on project imo, although im sure there will be several people dissagree. Headers and a tune should be the next two things on your list then you might even start thinking about a FAST setup. If you cant find one for less than $300 shipped then you should do headers.

as for the ported tb - id just spend the extra little and get a used 80-85mm BBK. And id still do that before the intake.

After the lid and cat-back I did the LS6 intake and my car gained about 1.5 mph in the 1/4. It trapped around 108.5

adding the ls6 manifold to 98-00 f-bodies will run better #'s than 01-02 cars because of the hotter cam.

There is a reason people say that it is one of the "best bang for the buck mods." I definitely noticed a difference, I have not gotten my car dynoed since then though.

Definitley a good mod, my car felt stronger up top and i would say it picked me up a tenth and a little over 1 mph. It was tough to give ya an actual number because the da was different on the 2 outings when i put it on but i'm sure i'll have a number when it runs a new best in nov. like last year. The ls6 intake and ftra are the only differences from last year and i'm expecting 12.0s so 2 tenths would be nice gain!

im assuming by the better heads u mean the 241's, ive headers and im interested to see what i pick up with the ls6 intake. a friends 01 car will be identical to mine after the ls6 intake, so im interested to see if this slightly larger cam will make a difference...
