Fast toys thank you for the offer I am probably going to take you up on it.
I just have to figure out what to do about the MAF, I know that the SLP ones are junk and are unreliable at best, if I can find a viable 85mm option I will buy it and put the parts to the test.

i know you said you were looking to get some more outta your set up. I personally feel that if you are going to take Fast Toys up on their offer with a 85mm MAF and 85mm Lid i think that you will gain some MPH and E/T... I mean your already running a FAST 90/90 set up, and you have a bottle neck problem with your stock 74mm MAF and 74mm Lid...
Good luck i want to see the results

Might do that too.
I have some major changes that are gonna get done to the car while I take a break for a year or so, porting the intake is a possibility... but honestly I may be switching to a while different intake setup.
Once the joe van O pin on hood is on the car and I have 8 inches more height then what I have with the stock hood the possibilities become alot more open.
I've put off the lid change because at some point I'm cutting the upper and lower radiator supports out and putting a bolt in cross brace in, and putting a small radiator in the car so at that point the lid is gonzo anyway.

well i know have a GM (Delphi) 85mm MAF and now a proud owner of a Fast Toys 85mm Lid
I however will not get them on the car until spring time, as my car is in storage right now
To JL ws-6 I will send you my 85mm combo if you make some runs do some data logging on it. You will gain some e/t and mph.. did you ever port you FAST 90 intake yet?
obviously once your done with my set up you will need to send it back to me

Torched 02, where did you get your gm maf (truck and or vette)? How did you know it would work on your car, my understanding is they changed every couple years, like the 01-02 wont/shouldnt work on 98-00...so I guess how did you cross reference part numbers to know what would work, and can u let me know the part number of yours since we have same year car.

More Info:
SLP tried to address this problem by putting a resistor on the MAF wires for the MAF's they sell so that the car would run. The MAF tables are different between the years so they used a different resistor for some models (hence two part #'s). It's a crude way to correct the MAF tune problem but it works well enough to not set a check engine light. However, to get the best results, you would definitely want to properly tune your MAF table.

Guess Hot Rod never got with you after all huh... I love these "Big" talkers.. when it comes to upgrading MAF,Lid,intake etc..
I too am getting ready to install (spring 09) a FAST 90/90 ( thank you Tacklebox), 85mm lid (Fast toy's), 85mm Delphi MAF, 5 pin harness.
I will definately post up before/after results...

You can use any 85mm GM MAF as long as you get the Caspers adapter we sell to hook into your stock harness. The problem is that your car will not run correctly until you use HPTuners, LS1 edit etc. to re-tune the computer's MAF table to work with your new MAF.
