Default ? about LS6 intake.

How do you put a LS6 intake off of a Corvette onto a fbody? The fbodies need a place to mount the throttle cable bracket, but the Corvette does not have a throttle cable. I used the search function and found some people with this issue but they never posted the solution. Thanks guys.

I had no problem like your asking about.. I was able to take a LS6 intake and swap it in like it was my LS1/F-body intake (with the exception of no EGR port and steam crossover tubes).

What is the Serial Number and what year did the LS6 come off of ?

I recall reading before about the throttle Cable brake not haveing threaded insert where the bracket bolt to on some DBW intakes. Not sure if that is what your talking about, if so.. many have just inserted the threaded insert/nuts.. not even sure if this was LS6/Vette related or not.

Like part # 12573572. I believe this is the intake for the Corvette and GTO.

So the LS6 intakes off of GTO's and Corvette's do have provisions for the throttle cables on f-bodies? Can someone confirm this? Thanks.

I have done several this way. There is a place for the inserts but there are no inserts. You can get some that are the same thread as the bolts that already hold it on. I had to drill out the holes a little so the inserts would press in.

I got them from the bolt man at my job but you should be able to get them at any hardware store.

Did you resolve this problem? Were they at a typical hardware store? What are those inserts called (if I were to ask a worker where I could find them)? Thanks in advance! In a time pinch...
