Random questions about Heads/Cam

Random questions about Heads/Cam Well I have a close to stock 99 Z28 Camaro. I know a decent amount of stuff about cars, I have a couple of buddies that know their stuff and know how to do head/ cam swaps.
I have been wanting a C6 Corvette but I live on a dirt road (with the parents) and I will wait until I am on my own before that happens.
Anyways I have always been wanting a head/cam setup. What all is needed? Different crank? Push rods? Pistons? I would rather have a nice setup and not have to worry about stuff breaking, even know thats the chance you take, but at the same time I want some decent bragging rights...lol ....
I know im going to need the supporting parts like a 9", correct suspension setup (LCAs, SFCs,) Slicks or DR's, New clutch (LS7).
What kind of prices are im looking at? I would like to do a budget build but I dont want real real cheap stuff.
