what everyone is trying to get to is....... yes your cam may be "working well" without headers.. as in giving you 20rwhp over stock.. but if you would put lts on you not only would pick up the extra for the lts but the cam would be more beneficial.. so instead of the cam only giving you 20 it would be giving you 30.

i would do headers and imo, never change the gears in a 10 bolt (for a m6 anyway).
then get some sticky tires.... m/t... nitto 555r... whatever... youll see low 13's

What I mean is, when installing LT's your car will not run to its peak performance level, a tune is needed therefore +500.

true true it wont run to PEAK but it will run very good nonetheless....not worth the extra dough IMO until more mods are added

exactly what i did. drove my car with bolt ons for a few months before getting a tune when i installed the cam. unless you can tune yourself, then just wait til you get cam/n20 or somethin that HAS to have a tune

yea, no reason to blow money.. now if your going to do full bolt ons and it will be a good 6 months or so before you get a cam heads or whatever, then i suggest a tune.. but dont go get a tune EVERY mod..

My car ran very rich and my gas mileage was very poor.
A tune is a must for all around drive ability. Ya sure the car will run but.......

i like poor gas mileage... and dont care to sacrifice driveability for speed... if you think an untune full exhaust cars driveability is bad... put a big cam in.....

every car is different, but by no means would a LT install w/o a tune make the car undriveable.

LT's without a doubt. And you can easily drive it for awhile untuned if you are planning on adding any other mods, which is what I did. So that makes it like 35 votes for LT's against 1 for gears.
