Yes, we do the porting. These are some older part numbers and that is why we are offering them at these prices. I don't have any flow numbers.

They are CNC ported to Stage II level so they are going to flow better than stock LS6 heads. The valve covers will not be interchangable.

I think with any CNC ported cylinder head of the same time you are going to see very similar real world benefits. I don't have any specific power numbers on these heads but you will see significant gains over as-cast heads especially if you also have a different cam.

These have been in inventory for a while and are being offered at the best pricing possible. Since you have a 98 you can take advantage of these great savings. Its not too good to be true, I just have these three pairs so supplies are limited.

What makes 1200 bucks a good price for bare LS1 heads compared to other sponsors fully assembled ls1, ls6, and 5.3 heads for the same price?

Are you guys really surpised you have old inventory lying around?

Seriously, tell me that they flow better than the other sponsors heads or something that justifies that price.

Read the thread dude. Bare $399 a piece. $1198 assembled.

Also show me another LS1/6 head for $1200 bucks with oversize valves. Only the TSP 5.3 stage 2.5's are in that $$$ range

The heads are gm heads dude with porting. All Katech has done is port them. Something special about their port? Thats what Im asking. WHAT makes them better than the other heads out there. What is the driving force behind 1200 bucks for bare ls1 heads. Not ls6 or 5.3, but ls1. And that price is clearance price.

C5-R uses 12480090 C5-R castings. They are completely different from the stock castings listed above. C6.R components are not sold to the public.

806 heads were on my 97 vette, I can never find any info on them stock or otherwise, but I dont need to worry about that now.

853's I thought are still perimeter bolt heads, but the second iteration from the 806's. The 241's are basically a 243 once ported.

The 853's are CENTER bolt for the valve covers.

These 241's are NOT "basically" a 243 once ported, these are STAGE II heads lol. How can you make a remark like that with no relevant information on those heads? It just doesn't make sense to me...

I didn't get that impression when I read it. I think what he means is that a ported 241 and a ported 243 could possibly closer in performance than an as-cast 241 vs 243. Maybe I'm reading into it too much.
