Correct me if I'm wrong, but they look like Jesels to me? and there individually adjustable as opposed to te Yella's these are great for the solid roller guys.

They are comp. I've had a set for over three months now. Be interested to see if anyone else could fit them out of the box.

I just found out that to use these rockers....
1) You need custom pushrods or have yours machined
2) The pushrod holes need to be enlarged

#2 I can live with but getting custom pushrods made for the LS1...How much is that gonna cost?

Ok,these will more than likely require machine work to open pushrod hole,.090 towards Ex.side,I was told some do and some dont but if the head is off ,why take a chance.

As far as custom length pushrods, the rockers have .050 of adjustability.Lets say you run Comp R lifters that like .010 pre load or less, that would leave .040 to adjust for pushrod length or am I missing something?

JFM,
Sure they have the adjustability but if you dont run a 7.100 - 7.050 pushrod they wont work with stock valve covers

A-OK,Phil,I did not think of that.So it looks like an aftermarket spacer/valve cover would be needed.

Custom pushrods are cheap, but enlarging the pushrod hole sucks if your heads arent already off. Blah.

naa, just use the dremel yo.. ;D

[Disclamer: Vents does not condone the use of a "dremel" on any part of the LS1 engine, doing so could be detremnental towards the engine and other components. do so at your own risk.]

good looking rockers though, if they were more like 3 ish, i'd consider them over the Jessels or a T&D set.

I used a big drill. :-/

These remind me of the first few sets of T&D's, which made my life a living hell for a few months.

There is no good way to resize those pushrod holes without the heads off.

never again.

Where can you get custom made pushrods and how much?

The guy I talked to said you need pushrods that are 300 thousands shorter....so I guess that means I need 7.050

I should have mine soon and will let Jay[AbsoluteSpeed]try the fitment on his test motor.I will let you know what Jay comes up with.

Phil, that is one short pushrod[7.050],do you know how he came up with a 3/10s inch shorter pushrod?

I hope this set up dont turn into a $500+ pile of crap.Live and learn.

The angle of the cup for the push rod is all wrong. I really tried everything to get them right, but couldn’t. I’d be interested to see how you go with them.

It’s a shame really, because they are a very nice thing to look at. I’ve used T&D’s, Yella Terra, both Comp Cams types including these and Crane 1.8’s.

So far, the T&D’s have been the most flexible product for all variations of spring diameters and install heights.

Good luck and please let us know how you go.

Pete.
