Default rapid dominator 2, got some Q's

highly considering this cam with tfs 215's. My big questions are:

1.) whats this cams powerband? I really dont want to shift over 7k and i dont want to start making power at 4k

2.) does it buck down low, how does it drive around town...etc...?

3.)is this more of a midrange cam, or big max effort cam?

You shoulda done a search and PM'd me haha. I think mikey set my rev limiter to like 6800 or something with the shift being at 6500 or 6600. So it doesn't pull over 7k. I have a dyno chart of me cammed + exhaust on one of my threads go take a look at it. It steadily gets more power and pulls hard. Take a look at my chart and see if you like where it makes power. I bought it as a DD cam that makes great power. Take in note I haven't had it long it feels great in traffic, no problems at all easy to drive. I haven't had any bad bucking but it did like once or twice but that's because my brakes are shot and i didn't want to put in neutral and hit the brakes haha. It's a great cam and i can't wait to get more parts and maximize this power!!

lol...yea i have done a search and i saw your setup, i was just wondering if any one else has experimented with this setup. I see from your graph it looks like it takes off around 2300rpm, does that sound correct?

yeah that is about right, it is a nice cam if you ask me. There are a bunch of people. Me, Mike02WS6, then there's that 502 rwhp one. There is also another one that all have similar results. The cam is progressively putting out the same numbers, almost 400 rwhp with exhaust and cam only is good if you ask me. It is also good on torque.

They are custom spec's so not sure exactly but mine are roughly 230/238 on 113 lsa. Can't wait for more parts looking to get close to 475+ on motor!!

they keep it well guarded and for good reason, it does well. Ive heard its low 230's/mid upper 230's .617lift? and on a 111LSA.

ive heard its similar to (230/238 .610/.609 on 113LSA)

it's roughly a 230/238 on a low 600's lift on a custom lsa. get what you want most people go for the 113 for a good streeet cam. That's what i went with because i'm DD'ing it right now for a little while.

If you have any questions feel free to PM or call Mikey at Rapid, he's a great guy and has excellent customer service. I talked to him probably a year or so before I ended up getting work done, he will answer everything and is a great guy.

The cam is a great cam and Mike's customer service and work is top notch. The cam makes plenty of power between 3,000 - 6,7000 RPMs. Streetability is great and once you get use to it the car drives like stock with no bucking. Give Mike a call and he will answer all of your questions. I don't trust my car with anyone but Mike and highly recomend him. I will be getting my Dana 60 in a couple of months from Mike to round out my car.

Interesting. After searching it seems like this cam is good for over 400rwhp cam only and has got good torque to boot.

That cam has incredible mid range.
No need to spin past 6500.
It is just what i was looking for.
As stated above Mikey is great to deal with.

I'm interested in seeing more cam only numbers. I only saw a few when I searched. They were all impressive though

Because most people throw heads and bolt on's at the same time. Mine put down great numbers cam only with lot of miles on block. Can't wait to get more bolt on's and be low-mid 400's and heads high 400's. Cam puts out great power, we need some track numbers with this setup already, CMON PEOPLE!!!

I have Mikey's cam. Mods/numbers in sig. You wont be disappointed. The cam starts pulling very early and through the rpm's is just sick. You will need to call him and talk to him. Like others said you will not get the cam specs. Mikey and others spend lots of time/money coming up with packages h/c/i that make big power. Why would they give out the recipe? Would you? Just call him and he will spec out a custom package for what you want to do. Thats what I did and other Rapid cars and I don't see anyone complaining. Just my .2
