Thanks for the infor.
Ok, looks like I've found a smokin deal on a Zo6 cam, pushrods and springs. Has anyone used the Z06 pushrods on there L33? Or do I need something different?

You guys are gonna like this motor. I think it ended up in the trucks from a left over parts inventory in a less than expected sales number of the SSR.
From new I get a tiny bit of cold knock in the mornings if I take right off and recently I went with a K&N oil filter and it decreased. The K&N is supposed to have a really well made drain back valve. Mobil1 5w30 since 5k.
I put the Radix on @ 5k miles and she has been a faithful servant since @ 45k now. I boost on it every day.

L33/LM4 HO 5.3L FYI:
Gen III V8
2004 LM4 Envoy and Bravada, block casting PN 12566910 AlUMINUM. LS6 design with 96mm bores on a 99mm liner, so it can be bored out to a 5.7L.
Gen IV V8
2005 L33 Envoy, Trailblazer, SSR, Trucks, etc-others… Block casting PN 12562735 AlUMINUM. Essentially an LS6 block with 96mm liners (that can be safely bored out to 99mm), all short head bolts, 0.5mm step in block cam bores.

I was reading this thread and wondered if anyone has an answer to it? I am trying to decied if using a Z06 cam is better than using a Comp Xtreme truck cam or a XFI RPM Highlift 54-454-11. Any info if you have used either of these combo would greatly help. Thanks

I have been looking for the same info.....came across this link:
http://www.superchevy.com/technical/...e/viewall.html
Based on the info in that article, I'm guessing that the 12593207 cam is the same as the 12583623 mentioned in another thread as the L33 'high lift" cam.
Here are the specs:
PART NUMBER 12593207
5.3 L GEN-IV
114 LDA 116 INTAKE CENTERLINE
1.70 ROCKER RATIO
Lift:
@Cam @Valve
EXHAUST: 0.283 0.480
INTAKE: 0.283 0.480
Cam Timing@0.004-inch Tappet Lift:
Open Close Adv. Duration
EXHAUST: 57 BBDC 36 ATDC 273
INTAKE: 9 BTDC 87 ABDC 276
Cam Timing@0.050-inch Tappet Lift:
Open Close Duration
EXHAUST: 27 BBDC 14 BTDC 193

LM7 vs. L33 Cam
Here You Go. These are from a GM source I got years ago for my 2005 Silverado L33, the 1st year they put them in the trucks. Maybe the difference is in year models? Wait, mine is not a designated H.O. (High Output).

Yes it is, but by him responding it means he did a search, which everybody has a cow about if they don't, so now your having
a cow about him doing a search. The info is still info and obviously people still search about it, so what is the harm about
leaving a response? just more info. If it wastes your precious time when people respond to old threads
you can open a thread look at the date and it if is to old for you, you can just back out of the thread, instead of
wasting more of your precious time responding as well.

And yet he wastes his(and ours) precious time replying anyway.... ours because there is a chance of you writing something worthwhile, so we read it. Oh well...

Also, on the subject of answering old threads. A huge number of people come to the forum through google search looking for answers. If we have an opportunity to use newfound knowledge to answer old threads, I don't see how that's hurting anyone.
