Another cam vs. mileage thread
gas mileage never really mattered to me...funny thing is my TA gets pretty much the same mpg that my gtp does...gtp does a little better around town though. that will change after the 6.0 swap though lol.
^^^^ Thats what I get with a 230/234 and a 3600 stall. I lost 4-5 in the city with the stall before the cam went in.
My 226/232 6 speed with 3.42's gets me just over 200 miles per tank if all city. So about 15 mpg or so. I do have tuning issues though. Hoping mileage improves after my re-tune this spring.

Thats wild bro, my old h/c all bolt on 346 got better gas mileage the more modding that was done. Never really got to see city mileage, but I was very aware of my highway mileage. At 490 rwhp 445 rwtq I could get as much as 34.5 mpg in 6th gear at 70 mph. This is not readout mileage either, it is actual. Filled up the tank, drove until empty and refilled. Then did the math for the 34.5 mpg. Very curious to see what kind of gas mileage the 402 is going to get. Probably a lot less.

i have yet to get less than 18mpg no matter if I drive mostly city, highway or mixed. All highway is around 24mpg. It really didn't change that much from stock, maybe 1-2 city, but nothing highway. I don't drive aggressively all the time, but there is definitely a reason I went through a set of tires in less than a year
