K .... all this chatter made me a little nervous that the sodium valves were ideal for a stock setup and maybe not as much for bigger cam and springs.

Thanks

The lightweight LS6 valves are not fragile. I have stock LS6 243 heads and valves with PAC 1518 springs. My engine survived a https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...2-1-shift.html that hit 7800 rpm without any damage.

is this the reason to get sodium filler valves?

so the 243 w/ sodium valves stops at 04 Z06 because the 05 had LS2?

Thanks
Sodium filled valves are lighter, but they also reduce the temperature of the valve and prevent warpage.
