Starter problem.....stuck at school help!
It's not too bad..then again I've been under the Dash a bunch of times and it takes about 5 minutes to pull the Steering Column.
The Ignition Switch is ontop of the Steering Column, and you have to drop that to get to it. It's easiest to pull it straight out.
Take your lower Drivers side Dash apart, and disconnect everything off of the Steering column. Then go under the Hood and take the Bolt out of the Linkage next to the Headers. Go into the Car under the Dash and you will see 3 Bolts on the Fire Wall around the base of the Column, pull them out. Then follow it up, and you will see 2 on each side of it holding it up, pull them out while supporting it. Once they are out it will literally fall in your lap. Disconnect the Connectors that you see going to a white plastic thing, that is the Ignition Switch. Then just guide it out.
The IGN Switch is pretty quick to change, just make sure the Rod goes in it's spot.

ok so semi good news i think, i managed to drop the column and remove the old swtich to find it was all broken and messed up inside ! I just gotta wait until my buddies get back to give me a lift to the auto parts place to pick one up, hopefully this does the trick

well the auto part place was out of the ignition switch so i had to order it i have to go pick it up this afternoon, im praying this is the solution

I was really hoping that switch would have solved some of your problems. If that switch was as junked out as it sounded it could have kept the starter engauged and burnt up the alternator or anything electrical causing there to be a short, hope it don't cost too much to get it lined out. I know these things suck *** but sometimes they just happen.
yeh definatly does suck lol hopefully they find the problem and dont have to spend hours looking thats gonna get ridiculous ....couldnt have happened at a worse time either it may sound stupid but as everything else in my life is falling apart that damn car was my pride and joy lol and now thats dead too lol

i think the dashlights won't come on cause you blew the 50a ignition fuse.

The starter grounds to the chassis. There is no ground wire. Dont waste your time looking for one. Be sure the vehicle is in park or nuetral. If nothing is happening when you turn that key then its either security issue or an ignition switch. Jiggle the shifter into park if auto. If its a clutch then crawl under the dash and be sure that the clutch pedal sensor switch is engaging as it sould. If all is good, and no codes are present then change the ignition switch out. This will be a pain. You may need a tech 2, so maybe get it towed by a dealer, and have them switch it out.
Hey man, I had this same problem at one point and it ended up being a blown fuse. I can't remember which one it was but like you said my dash wouldn't light, my radio wouldn't come on, and my car wouldn't start. It's worth a try
