Have some 243's in the garage, should I get them ported?

Pred I am looking into heads for next year. for my car. Mods are ls6 stock long block with the vindicator and all other mods in sig but i am having a hard time picking a good head for my setup i am looking to go with the tea stage 2 or 3 or the livernois stage 3 what are the pro's and con's i take the car to the track alot and drive on the street time to time. And a friend of mine chrs1313. he told me how you helped spec a cam for his car and see what you have to say about my setup. BTW his car fly's wish i would have done my homework. thanx Rob
With that size stick, you would benefit from larger intake runner, flycut and thinner gasket mill.
This will raise your compression and raise trq production
If budget is not an issue and you want max effort, TFS is the way I would go.

Dang *****, is business getting slow over there? You have all day to post your idiotic trash. I'm not going to lie that I'm tired of reading your trash on here and I know the moderators are tired of having to clean it up. I would think with how much attention you pay to TSP you would actually see that our head prices haven't gone down but actually gone up a bit. Not that it would matter to you, you are going to continue to be condesending in every TSP thread. You have ZERO credibility to any claim you have made. Keep your posts coming. You are a parts swapper. As long as you are online making posts, you aren't making money and if you aren't making money, the sooner you go away. However, I will give you credit for trying to ride someone else's coat tails. But sooner or later you have to do something on your own. Until then, do everyone a favor and go back to your other board and enjoy your 5 threads a day.

We can get you setup with fully CNC ported heads and CNC valvejobbed for under $700. Different valve options as well as spring upgrades are available as well. We also offer milling at no additional charge. As mentioned above, choose wisely. There is no need to go through a middle man that is trying to make a buck on someone else's work and has no CNC/porting experience at all. Shoot me a pm with what you are thinking about getting done and we can get one of the best if not the best CNC'd 243 castings on the market!

I bought some 243's since I'm going to install the Vengeance VRX3 cam, but the more I think about it, I was thinking I might as well have the heads ported. I've searched and can't find where, or an estimated price. What kinds of gains could I see from ported over stock 243's.
Thanks
Thanks
My $0.02 is most of the big sponsors here have good reputations (Vengeance, Texas Speed, etc). Since you're in Ga might look for Vengeance since they're local and they can match the heads to the VRX3 cam for max performance.

So I guess giving good advice and have people think there's other options out there is condescending. As far as credibility goes I really don't care what you think. You can try to discredit me if you want I'm not a paid sponsor here and I'm not selling anything here. I've dyno'ed enough setups to know what works and what doesn't.

A well balanced Combo, attention to detail such as cam degreing, quench value, valvetrain geometry, proper preload, proper fueling, proper intake induction, proper exhaust, proper compressions (SCR/DCR) and proper tuning.
There is more to making power than just slapping a bunch of parts together, it has to be put together right as well.

230/228 .612/.588 110-1 LSA,
yeap you're reading correctly 110 LSA, 111 ICL.
So much trq you'll think you have a stroker rev till 6600+, 9* overlap

Joke apart, I've had heads handported for less than that, keeping runner small for velocity and independently flowed at 297cfm average (stock valves 2.0/1.55), with valve job and new seals.
Went on a C6 with 214/230 114 LSA, 7psi Procharger, killed a brand new GTR that cost twice as much.
Ended up selling the car to the GTR owner

To a certain degree Yes, because you are force feeding, but the difference between same setup, stock heads, same cam, same psi and after heads was 61 rwhp, so that theory is not completely true, (not to mention I went from LS2 heads to 6.0 71cc.
Again, the porter (who is well known here) knows his stuff and did the right thing.

Ambiant temps were my killer here and no meth is allowed in this country.
Mind you this was by no means a all out setup, but a reliable stock mannered combo.
It was still a 10.5 SCR, I only lost .5, but for $$ the power increase was well worth it.
