I just replaced my stock chain with the 30 dollar LS2 chain, not sure about the kit.
I have 94k on mine. Ill probably go ahead and replace it, i just read on the stickies that it's a good idea on 98-00 cars, wasn't sure about my 02.

It's $130, it has higher miles, and you're in there already. Why not IMO.

My '00 has 79k miles and I'm replacing the pump with a TSP ported unit when I order my Torquer. Cheap insurance, IMO. Same with a $30 timing chain.

i did it on the way down to the lsx shootout. believe me i babied it. that was my best mpg, my worst on that trip was 24.3.

if you have a low mileage 01 and never ls1/ls6. i wouldn't worry about the oil pump and timing chain. and 00 and older or above 35k, i would replace the oil pump(even if it's stock ls6 one) and upgrade to the ls2 timing chain and gears. also DEF get a new oil pump o ring. i use the red ones from gm

my car has tons of low end but i also think the 4.56's has something to do with it
