ok i have some pics of my heads that i put on my car and i would like to know if you look at a 5.7l head and a 5.3l head can you tell a difference between them by the combustion chambers alone?? i've got myself into quite a scenario here and i need to start with the heads...

In that table either the 373 or the 317 compression ratio is wrong, since the CC's are the same size for the same motor.

Yup, the cc's are the same, its the pistons that are different which raised the compression to 10:1 in 2001+. Combustion chamber volume isn't the only variable in calcualting the compression ratio.
