If all fuses are good and it has no spark it's a problem with the crank sensor. I've seen a few threads where people had trouble with the wire/connector on the crank sensor, so you should check the connector and wires good before you just replace the sensor.

funny thing. same thing with me for the last couple of weeks. I couldnt get the motor to crank. Ended up breaking a rocker on the passenger side and a spring on the drivers side. Alot of guys said to check the crank and the camshaft positioning sensors. Also, how do you know you were getting no spark? Im assuming you pulled the plugs out one at a time and tried to turn over the engine right?

crank sensor wire and connector appear to be fine. no spark confirmed by putting plug in the end of the wire and cranking the engine looking for arc.

You did ground the plug? Sounds like you are going to need to find out if your crank sensor is bad or not. If you can get a wiring diagram and find out what wires are your 5 volt reference and ground and get a volt meter and see if you have a 5 volt signal. You have to do all this while back probing the wires on the connector you just can't unplug it. It is also a 5 volt ac signal.

I have the same problem. Replaced crank sensor and no help. Spark however seems intermitent. It sparks only on initial crank and then nothing.

bad crank sensor would throw a code i would think. plus it would go into limp home. did you check all cylinders for spark? each coil has its own ignition control module comanded on by pcm. if its not getting spark its because the pcm wont give it any. see if you can get ahold of a tech 2 and look at engine data. see if anything is abnormal.

I had this intermittent issue a couple of months ago where the car would randomly die and not restart, or sputter while driving. The dealer replaced the crank sensor but that didn't fix the problem. We stumbled upon a suggestion from a tech at another dealer to replace the ignition relay and (knock on wood) the problem hasn't returned.

Yes you must ground out the plug for it to arc. the plug is normally grounded in the head.
