Hold you back from what? That all depends on what kind of power goals you are looking for. If you're looking for over 400rwhp, then yes, stock unported heads will hold you back.

Not entirely true. There was a guy at G12 this year in Atlanta who had a 224 cam in his SS, and he paired it with Patriot Stage II 5.3L heads and had dyno sheets for 429rwhp. He also had all other supporting bolt'on mods as well. That was impressive to me.

If you got it from me, then you have a good cam. My car put down 390 on a speed density tune with all the regular bolt'ons and a heavily ported throttle body. If you have someone port your 241 heads, then you can expect to pick up some decent hp. If you swap heads to something CNC'ed with a slightly smaller combustion chamber, then you will see some very nice gains.

You should be fine with the Stock Heads, unless you plan on going all-out, then I would look into a different Cam.

Yeah dude you need to look at your tune or something else is throwing off your numbers. I had a TR224 with MTI (houston) stg2e heads which aint much of a port job on them and I put down 405 rwhp thru an auto.

its ok that was before..now i have diffrent mod . (in the sig)

i think because am spraying 150 shot the tuner had to lower the number a bit
applying less spark advance and richer fuel .
but its all diffrent now the car is a beast after the latest modding .

(sorry 95_ls i didnt mean to hijack the thread ) its not my intention just trying to help
