Default Gains from P/P 241 heads and 1.8s?

What kind of gains would I be able to expect from 1.8 rockers and would there be anything i would have to do in order to run them? ie. springs, pushrods....
I'm thinking about having the stock heads P/P'd w/ the stock cam and just call it a day at that.

With all of this what kind of gains can i expect. Car has full bolt ons minus EWP. I'll be sending out the tb to get p/p'd over winter break.

If I were to go the thru the trouble of pulling my heads, I would probably go ahead and install a cam while the heads were off. Without a cam your not going to see much benefit from P&P'd heads, even with a little more lift from 1.8 rockers. That is a lot of work for minimal gain.

I would go ahead and get your TB ported, add a LS6 intake if you do not already have one, and a cam w/all ancillary components needed ( springs, pushrods, timing set and oil pump). Don't blow your wad on aftermarket rockers, the stockers are lighter in most cases anyways, why add weight to the valve train.

true, motor's got 102k on it though and is my daily driver (including through winter) so i dunno if it's worth it to cam it. I'm gonna be pulling the valves over winter break to check the rockers, lifters, and pushrods and make sure everything is running right. If i'm gonna cam it i was looking at like a 224/228 cam

That's a good grind and should drive well on a daily basis.

I just did a pair of CNC 241 castings with 1.85 RR's on my car with some crazy results. Thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...stock-cam.html
