you should at least have a base tune.. just a cheap ole 75 dollar tune from someone..
you **Can** run the stock tune, but its going to be a pain in the *** to drive...
dynotune is HIGHLY recommended..
i have a dynotune with my MS4.. i DD it 60 miles a day without surging, bucking, stalling, starts right up... does perfect... before when i had a mail order tune.. every once in a great while it would stall at a red light (once every week or two).. it surged at red lights all the time.. and was hard to keep running when i first started it..
just depends on your money situation..

****most**** tuners and people will say that it is not streetable and this and that.. but even on a "mail order" tune it was streetable, just not a huge joy to drive at times..
i have a *VERY* good tuner... he is one of the best for our cars down here..
i PROMISE you it can be tuned for an auto and it is FAAAR from impossible..
my mods.. ms4, PRCls6s, ported 90/90, pacesetter LT's, xpipe into 1 chambers, 410s, Vig. 4k stall..
ive already stated how it acted with a "mail order" on it.. basically what that was..
my tuner came up the day after we got the car running.. hooked his laptop up to it and fiddle farted with it for about 5 minutes.. drove it on that tune for about a month and a half.. it was somewhat of a pain to drive but wasnt unstreetable by any means..
then i went to get my dynotune... a buddy of mine has a F13 cam (fairly small).. and mine has just as good street manners as his does.. as mentioned i drive mine about 60 miles a day.. raining/cold/hot, whatever.. and i have 0 problems..
when people dog the ms4 about not being streetable and/or can not tune it and get it running right... either A. have not had one and they are going off hearsay or B. had a crappy tune/tuner..
this goes for all the cams that are similar to the MS4.. Trex, pollutor, Etc..

The F-Body Camswap section of www.ls1howto.com will be very helpful with its step by step guide.
By the way, I drove my car all last summer with the MS4 on a stock tune, stock converter and stock gears. I figured I would get my intake/tb/A3 swap done before the tune. Now its all ready to rock.
