.324 - LS6 (2002-2004)
.306 - LS6 (2001)
.292 - GTO
.274 - Vette LS1
.268 - Trans Am

Exhaust Lift.... (inches)
.322 - LS6 (2002-2004)
.306 - LS6 (2001)
.292 - GTO
.281 - Vette LS1
.274 - Trans Am

1998 - 2000 Fbody
202/210 int/exh @ 0.05" duration
0.496" / 0.496" int/exh lift
116 LSA

2002+ LS6 cam
204/218 int/exh @ 0.05" duration
0.551" / 0.547" int/exh lift
117 LSA

Looks like the LS6 cam would be more streetable and be good for 25+ RWHP... Just figured its something to think about

gains are going to be minimal. Get an aftermarket cam if you're going to go through the trouble of doing it.

As stated, ls6 would be a waste of time.

I did the ls6 on my turbo camaro, they are decent on the forced induction aspect. Cheap, and i was doing heads anyways.

But on a NA car, i wouldnt. Not a fan of the hot cam either.

The LS6 cam is not very agressive. The LS6 engine was rated 405 at the wheels. I don't know what they dynoed in stock form, but my guess is around 370rwhp. The only way that you will get 400rwhp is to go with a more agressive cam than that or heads. Look at my specs in my sig, and that is with a more agressive cam and intake.

I made 376rwhp @ 361rwtq with an LS6 cam on stock 241 heads. All bolt ons, LT's, ORY, ASP, PTB and tune. Drove and idled dead stock. I would have kept it except it had not much midrange improvement over stock until 4000+rpms where it really woke up. It's a topend cam for sure. I swapped it out for a TR224 and never looked back.
