Thanks Shawn. I intend to go with L92/LS3 heads/cam and a single planein the future so they will like the larger bore better. I don't want to pull the motor again and the 370 just flat works.
Yeah i know,i just hate boring a block when you dont have to.But you're right, the 370 does work well.
its blown out the exhaust, or stuck in the muffler(and will rattle forever and ever)
no way its in the oil pan with the ring still in good shape.
Yeah, I need to take the valves out ov both heads and give them at least a good look-over and go over the ports again. I hope that those valves are OK. I guess I need to get my PRC double springs checked even though my cam is only .573".
The chunk of piston is probably gonna be in the intake. My guess is it wedged in the intake valve causing the eyebrow on it's way thru. I would definitely have the heads reworked while they are off. Good luck getting it back together.
that sucks man, you beat on that car about as much as i beat on mine and i have the exact same mileage . . .
keep us posted on the 370+ build because that is gonna be my next undertaking in 2009
Hey, Ryan. Yeah we like to drive our cars a bit. I can't do anything untill I get an income tax return so it will be a month and a half before anything happens. I need to try and get the oil pan off and pull the pistons/rods in the mean time. I will keep you guys posted on what I can find. Might even luck out on a used 6.0 4.03-4.06 iron block.
