TEA makes a good head in between the low buck patriot/TSP and high end FT/AFR... i would recomend the TEA stg 2, LS6 head,, great medium lift numbers, and 320 cfm in the high lift end

if you have the coin.....the TFS are pretty hard to beat.

great flow
improved valve angle for more clearance
great runner size for power down low without sacraficing power up top

downside is you have to buy roller rockers along with them.

technically you dont, you can run RR's with TFS heads, but why? Really its only another 400 bucks but it will ensure perfect valve train geometry and reduce wear. I have seen where TFS says you can run stock rockers, but advises against it so strongly that they dont even consider it an option.

They are needed specifically with TFS to get proper valvetrain geometry. Isn't as much a necessity with the other heads.

yes roller rockers are a good idea with any aftermarket head. I believe the determining factor as far as valve train wear goes is the bronze valve guides.

No, I think what "TrickFlow" was stating as false is the statement that only Trick Flow heads should be run with roller rockers.

Correct.

We will only warranty our heads if you are using roller rockers. It is not due to geometry as some seem to think. On the larger high lift cams using a stock rocker you will get guide wear on bronze guides and you will get valve tip scrubbing. This is just not on our heads!!!! We have tested many aftermarket and factory heads and they have all done it.
