+2, it's been beat to death, FWIW, I have always run dexcool in both my '97 SS and '99 SS with no problems. Any antifreeze will work, some even just run water with water wetter.

Dexcool is a superior coolant, stick with it. Just don't let it get low.

Ohh man, let the battle begin...

Use any coolant you want, just don't mix them.

If you convert from dexcool, make sure you drain and flush the whole system (not just the radiator) before you add the new green, yellow, (insert color of your choice) stuff.

I use Caterpillar RED coolant. Great stuff. Good for 6000 hours on the machines.

Like said above, use whatever you want. Just dont mix ELC.

Purple? All I have seen in 3 + years is green and red. Red being the ELC.
