Default MTI Stage 2E head opinions...

I know they're new but what do you all think of their potential? The price sure does look good. Thoughts? I'm real close to clicking "Buy now". Fire away.

I think they're almost as good as MTI's R heads as far as stock CI engines go. We're talking ~5 RWHP difference.

For larger CI engines, you really need the bigger valves of the R heads.

I'll be putting a set of them on my '02, perhaps in December or January. I've witnessed their flow numbers in person on the flowbench

But, for now I just need to get the '69 running

Anyone install a set of S2E's yet?

Any idea how the S2E's would work with a Stealth cam & LS6 intake, & iron manifolds?

They appear to me to exactly the same head except for the bigger valves, bronze guides and new hardend seats.

I think the Colonel is right ~5rwhp difference.

For a set of stage 2 MTI heads, that price is impossible to pass up. If you havent done the "Buy Now" already, I sure would.

I wish they had those heads available 2.5 years ago.

I HIGHLY doubt Jayson will put out a product that won't stand up to MTI's already high expectations of it'self....heck, I was up there last Saturday watching them finish up an ENTIRE CAR..I mean this guy bought the car drove down and paid 50,000...and the car looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor...the attention to detail they pay is incredible...and I would imagine they would put the same amount of detail into their new "Budget" heads....why not...TEA and the rest are and with ARE coming out w/LS1 heads it'd be dumb not too.
