Default Baby cam

Hey I have a chance to get one of a few baby cams for cheap. I have an a4 w/ full bolt-ons and was wondering what cam would be best w/o making it a hassle to drive w/ a stock stall.
It's between
1.220/220 112 lsa
2.220/224 112lsa
3.220/220 114 lsa
I was hoping for a 220/224 on 114 but the guy recomended the #3. I want the cam to be stealthy and liveable so I might be going the #3 route does any one have experience with these?

P.S If I had the money I would do the stall, but for a decent one it would cost more than twice for one of these so don't

I wouldn't own an auto without a stall, but I'm pretty sure most people are going to pick #2 on here. That's not a bad cam at all.

Do you want decent mileage?
Want to pass Smog Test?
Want good low and midrange power?
Consider #3. P.S.... you will still need a Tune.

The cam change is not going to be what you think with out a stall. Its like having a gun with no bullets.

I live in California and have headers so I don't give a f#ck about smog, none of these cams are gas guzzlers just wondering what you guys would get.

You should save up for a stall and supporting mods. That will be more fun than those baby cams. Then you can get some drag radials and really get out the hole. Then later down the road you could get a cam that works well with your stall.

I was hoping the locals would not see this, tell you what if you can get a stall w/ all the support for under 200 then i'll get one.

Its not that easy tho. With a cam you'll need a valvespring kit, pushrods, and a tune. Then just to be safe you'll want to get an ls2 timing chain and ported ls6 oil pump. So its way over $200. oh yea plus install.

You're going to get a cam in your car for $200? Keeping your stock valve springs and everything else?

Funny?

Yea I just picked up some 10 spokes and my Strano springs will be here Friday.

You can get the came but it'll be more than 200. I'd honestly do a stall first. It's your car in the end. We're just trying to point you in the right direction
