Agreed, Pennzoil Platinum is the proven "bang for the buck" oil for the LSX tested on BITOG & here via UOA's. Although, I would suggest 5w30 even @ 72k miles.

Amsoil is also an excellent oil. It just costs more.

Nothing wrong with that--its what I use too, and as far as I'm concerned you can't really do better. Most everything already mentioned is as good, but you won't catch me calling it any better.

Here we go again... page 1...

I recently switched from M1 to Penzoil platinum. K&N filter is great because it has a 1 inch socket fitting on the bottom for easy install/removal. That is all.

I recently switched to the new M1 0W-30 stuff and it is excellent. Once I hit like 2k miles I'll probably spring for a UOA and see what it looks like. I use either K&N filter or AC Delco depending on where I buy it from.

well if your in florida weather is always pretty warm so you can run a 10 weight over a 5 weight. amsoil, royal purple, mobile are all good oils and k&n filters

royal purple has been proven to give you more power because of less friction. if you look on websites the only people that talk **** about royal purple are amsoil representatives.

lol....almost every brand of oil has been posted in the first 10 posts. This question is about like asking what's the best cam to buy. The answer is always whatever is running in the car of the person posting the answer. Just use a high a quality oil and filter with the correct weight and change it every 3-5000 miles. Don't lose any sleep over it and don't go broke doing it.

Your rear Diff fluid is supposed to be ghanged every 30K. Go to GM and buy a gasket and a bottle of additive and pick up the fluid from your local AZ,AA, NAPA or wherever

now, I've had the transmission fluid changed, anything else? hows about a radiator flush?
