I was just wondering? I have some LQ4 pistons and 6.0 crank laying around, would like to do this if possible. I have 2 blocks, a 99 and an 02.

No. The max bore for the 5.3(all years iron & aluminum blocks) is 3.905".

According to Will Handzel's book, "How to Build High-Performance Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8s" (great book by the way, I'm about half way through it) 5.3 liter iron blocks can be bored out to 99mm from their original 96mm which will up engine size from 5.3 to 5.7

The max bore is actually 3.910 (348ci) 3.905 is a (347ci). 3.905 is the safest so if something happens you can still maybe use the block if something catastrophic happens .

if i decide to bore mine it will go 3.898...but the thing only has 30k on it....i wish someone would buy it haha
