Default F13 vs Torquer v2

have full boltons through a 6speed and stock heads.

i want to see close to or over 400rwhp and some torque relatively close to it.

narrowed the search down to f13 and the v2. leaning towards the f13 for the better low end torque over the v2 (from what ive read etc). the car is a daily driver for now and is going to see some 1/4.

want to know some opinions/experiences/horror stories about these cams!

thank!!

buddy of mine has an f13... he loves it.. but wishes he went bigger, its hat he had ATM though..

as for me its way too small for my tastes..

your going to make killer mid range with a set of ported 5.3s.. your car will be the **** in the 1/8 and from a 40 roll..

I ran the F-13 in my old Z28 and loved it. It ran 7.4xs in the 1/8th with 2.73 gears

I am currently running the torquer 2, and its starts to pull right around 2400 rpms, and it keeps pulling hard all the way to 6500. I would never go smaller, and daily driving is still good. I can still do 45 mph in 6th with no bucking.

the f14 is a what durration? i went with the torquer v2 232/234 but i wanted my power sooner and not to rev out as high so i got mine on a 110+3 on xer lobes.
on a mustang dyno with bolt ons, ls7 clutch, pst driveshaft, and a 9" with 3.90s and a truetrac diff i made 390 rwhp and 360 rwtq (no ud pulley)
at 3700 lbs i went 116mph and got a 11.92
with the right tune it drives stockish. stop and go traffic is no problem. because mine is on a 110+3 it peaks around 6200 and my shift light is on at 6400 or 6500 and a rev limitter of 6700. i just added a ftra, fast toys lid and 85mm maf. and went with a full spool because the truetrac broke. my track opens in a month and i hope to get another 2-3 mph and .1-2 out of it w/o taking out weight.

F14 232/234 114-cam... but we were talking about the f13, which of course is a tad smaller..

in 2 weeks i'll give you a dyno graph of the old version of the Torquer.

it will be close enough to the f13 to get a good idea i think.

gonna have the tune tweaked with the current setup (new setup in the sig), then have a ported FAST 90/90 installed, tuned and dynoed again.

all i know is that i was very happy with the torque curve when the cam was first installed. and that was with the TB opening only 85%, stock clutch, 3" dynomouth exhaust, stock rockers, and stock waterpump. was a bit disappointed on peak hp...but i think the issues i had with the engine were the cause of that.
382hp/375# torque

Thanks bro. I think a ud pulley might get me to 400. That was the last run after the tuned was done.

out of those two cams i would go with my custom 230/230 el torro...unless you are trying to keep the lift under .600 and use cheaper springs...otherwise i think my cam will give you the most power, and still be very street friendly...

good luck choosing...
