Default Is this a Gen 3 motor?

I just bought what was supposed to come out of a 05 hummer H2 6.0L iron truck motor. It has the knock sensors under the intake and the cam sensor in the back of the block. I wanted to reuse my msd 6010 box, but didn't know if the crank reluctor wheel was the same as a ls1, or if it is like an ls2 motor, but I thought if it was the ls2 crank reluctor wheel type that the knock sensors would be on the side of the motor and the cam sensor in the front cover. So would this still be considered gen 3 and work with my 6010 box or would I need to purchase the crank harness conversion dealio that I read about somewhere on here but am unsure who sells it.

First hit on google (Lingenfelter's web):

"The 58x CKP sensor (p/n 12585546) is gray colored and has a different ... The 24x CKP sensor (p/n 12560228) is black and will NOT work with the 58x crankshaft ... "

Unfortunately there are no sensors in the engine, so I can't tell you which one should have come on this motor.

sweet looks like I can keep my 6010 box for this motor as well. Now I have a spare for my ls1.

so that leaves
spare engine: check
spare trans: check
built 9" : check

guess I'm good for this race season.

you want to hold onto the 6010 for sure.
the 6012 box for the 58x wheel is almost 400 bucks now.
