i`ve been searching for a while but cant find or figure out what kind of cam i want, its for a 04 gto 6 speed and i want a smooth pretty much stock sound with the best hp gain possible with a mild buget. if i get a cam do i have to get head or anything else for it to actually the amount it say???thats wat a guy told me, is he just bull shittin

 

You don't need heads but they do help a lot. You can get it done for around 700 dollars. That's if you do it yourself.

 

ok cause id have to have someone else do it. but i was going to do a cam now then heades later, is that even worth it?, to do cams now? or should i wait to do the heads too?

 

Its sounds to me the cam you are looking for and a cam we use a lot is the LS2cheatr cam. It picks up big on the top end and has stock sound and drivability. Here is a c5 we just did.

 

that looks good but i tried typing in the name and i got $750 for it but it comes with spring etc, im looking for a nice clean almost stock idle most hp(and improvement of rpm range) but no other modifications, beasically just a cam drop in. thanks for your info

 

well, youll always have to do valvesprings and pushrods... even if you do an LS6 cam

 

o really? damn!!!! then im guessing the best idea is just save up a little more and do everything at once,(head,cam)
