Maybe the better question to ask would have been "Who has made 500 rwhp on a LS1 N/A?"
Then when and if anyone steps forward you could study their combo!

I was also involved in an AFR 205 combo that made 510 RWHP....

EDIT: Here is the link to that info

https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...p-442rwtq.html

This combo had a 238/242 on a 113 LSA.....obviously not as smooth down low as a 224 stick but quite drive-able all things considered.

It had lightly ported 205's that I went thru , one of my ported FAST intakes, lightweight clutch/flywheel, and all the goodies (EWP, UDP, good 1.75 exhaust....even had cats).

When I get a minute I will dig up the link....440 RWTQ also. About 11.5 CR if I recall

My older combo did make a best of 483 RWHP....honestly a 234/238 stick would have gotten my former combo across the magic 500 mark, but getting close with absolutely stock like driving manners and 30 MPG on the freeway was a pretty impressive all around combination that made for alot of fun. Those 205's were box stock as well....of course every facet of the build completely optimized from air lid to exhaust tip. I was also running high flow cats at the time.

Cheers,
Tony

I don't get why everyone is haveing such a hard time with this guys question...

He clearly said the smallest cam you've seen make 500. Why does he need to reword it? It seems like a good/simple question to me.

I havn't personally seen one dyno 500 so I don't know OP or I'd post up. Good luck........

dyno numbers are subject to a lot more than heads and cam sise.

For instance, I do not have a "small" cam, but my car made 507RWHP through 4.56 in a 12-bolt. Im sure if you have 2.73 gears, you can show much more then 507HP with a smaller cam than I have. I was not looking for dyno numbers, I was looking for ET. The cam is a CARTEK 4X, its up to them to discuss size. All I can say it that it is no bigger then cams on onther cars running times like my car.

A lot of the other cars on LS1tech that have made 500+ are not built to run 1/4" efficiently, they usualy have stock 10-bolts with stock 3.42's. I could be wrond, and please correct me if I am.

Dyno's dont tell the whole story. Im sure you can show 500hp on the dyno with a good seat of heads and a 224/228 like was said before. Drop the exhaust, run no belt with a Electric water pump, lean the **** out of it, take out the air filter, make sure the room is cold, maybe even dyno outside if you can in the dead of winter, the dyno corrects, but only so much.

And I believe the Dominator is a 232 intake duration cam. But generally, something in the mid to high 230s with a good set of heads and a very optimized combo can get you in the ballpark.

How did you get the "tm" by your sn?

Now back to our regularly scheduled thread.

I made 491.6 with a 236/240 605/610 on 112+2 with TFS 215cnc at 59cc and all the boltons. Made 506 with the addition of cutouts open. This is in a CTSV which is not quite dyno friendly with the rear IFS. It probably would have made it in an fbody with the solid rear.
