Whats the diff between a 5.7 crank and a 5.3? I know the stroke is the same, etc but I see that on some of the online GM parts websites they are different prices so I am assuming they have a different part number? Are they interchangeable? I want to put a 5.7 crank in a 5.3

 

Same thing. They are interchangable between the two engines. 5.3 just have a smaller bore.

 

The 5.7 crank and the 5.3 crank will interchange, but you will have to have the 5.7 crank rebalanced because it has has more holes drilled out which makes it lighter than the 5.3 crank.
