I've got a G5-X2 on a 114 LSA w/ full boltons making 436 rwhp and 397 rwtq. The car really comes on over 3500 rpms, but you have to wind it out over 6500 rpms to really take advantage of it.
I selected the cam when I was still doing HPDEs with the car so I wanted something good on the track that was still DDable.
Now that I have a Panoz track car I want something that I can creep along in stop/go traffic w/o having to feather the clutch and deal w/ any bucking... I want zero bucking. I want to be able to let the clutch out and let the car move along at idle.
I have a fidanza aluminum flywheel on the car that really exacerbates the issues... I know a heavier flywheel would tame some of the bucking/drivability, but I don't want to do a clutch job on the car anytime soon.
The car drove like stock w/ the flywheel when it was a stock motor, but the cam + light flywheel has made it interesting. I've had it this way for over 2 years.
So... other than just throwing a '02-'04 Z06 cam in it... what are my options for lots of fun 2000-6000 rpms? I don't drag race the car and don't really plan on it.
I'm considering selling it and getting a C6 vert so I want the car to be easy to drive for a perspective buyer too.
Thanks,
Brian

there's a lot of cams out there that ill give you awesome driveability but will lack some top end power, what are you HP goals?
from what you've said, my suggestion is TR224 or 228R or VRX4
ps- youd get more responses in the internal section

Factory LS6 cam is of course the cheapest route if you think you'll sell the car. The torquer cam from katech would be a good choice with manifolds, but I assume you have some type of LT's based on your current cam & power numbers.
If you don't want the LS6 cam, something like a TR220 should give you more snap. If you want more lift, an XFI 218/218 .605/.590 on a 110LSA would make for a real stump puller that's done about 6000rpms.

i would throw a set of heads on it, along with a smaller cam. friend of mine with TFS heads and a 224/230 cam put down 470ish rwhp in a 00 TA m6 with fast 90mm intake. stock bottom end, and drives great around town
