Default rounded out head Bolts...

Long story short my buddy let some jackass build his motor. He didn't torque the heads right and he blew a gasket. Now I find out that 2 15mm head bolts are rounded out and now I'm pissed. Any ideas how to get them out?ÿ

Go to Harbor Freight, buy two cheap open end wrenches, spot weld the them on the heads of the bolts, remove and throw away.

I dont think a wrench will work. I've had stripped lug nuts on my old 40 chevy and used the socket type tool as above. It worked pretty good, 19 bucks at summit racing.

Pic of head bolts, you mean the ones on the bottom or in the middle?

Yeah, your right. Probably the welded nut on top like got-a-ls1 said would work best.

Sears has a socket set designed for stripped/rounded out bolts http://www.sears.com/shc/s/s_10153_1...stFilter=Brand If not I've found using a smaller size socket and hammering it on the bolt to get it out.

Drill in the middle of the bolt and us the extractor bit? I've broke bolts off before and thats how I did it. They make a special socket too that would probably be easier since they're torqued
