It has more to do with Overlap than the LSA. I have some idle videos on here. I have a low LSA, but don't have as much overlap, so it sounds smoother than most on the same LSA.

The way I understand it is:

Duration (A+B)/4 - LSA(x)2 = Overlap

so the El-Torro 230/230 on a 111 LSA =

460/4 = 115 -111 =4 x 2= 8 degrees of overlap.

8 degrees is not a lot, thats why it makes so much torque, and hp.

using this in the 68 as well, just can't argue with the results ... combined with great driveability and the idle doesn't keep the g/f from riding along but still has nice chop and sounds good

no #s yet but it feels bigger

If I didn't get a Pat G cam spec'd out I was going to go with this one. It's close to what I had spec'd out which is funny. Mine is slightly larger...

SOM produced less power with heads and FAST than chris did with a similar cam.
Makes me curious... iknow that chris has every bolt on out there plus no AC. But still SOM without the heads and Fast would be producing an estimated 40 - 50 rwhp less than chris. Makes me think even more that chris's numbers are the result of a freak.
Chris what were your numbers before the cam? Mustang dyno?

dont have any numbers before the dyno but i can tell you the cam plus a 85mm lid/maf swap added 7mph to my times at the track...i went from 116mph SI to 123 MPH cam only with the same DA conditions...i and thinking the maf and lid added at the very most 15rwhp probably more like 10rwhp so then the cam gave me around 55rwhp - 60rwhp...

so even if my car was a freek before being SI i still gained 7mph from the cam swap and 85mm setup, and also keep in mind my stock maf was descreened and i had an aftermarket MTI lid on there too, i wasnt going from a stock maf/lid setup...

i would be very comfortable saying that you will get at least 50rwhp from this cam...

I will have to see if I can find my old dyno sheet, but my car with just the exhaust (No LT's) was around 325.

After Lt's, LS6, Underdrive Pulley, and the cam..my results are shown above.

so with an A4 you could estimate 370-390Hp andabout the same torque. That woud be plenty to make me happy

Now my cam is just a tad smaller than Chris 1313, and his #'s show more power.

All I know is that I am happy with mine, and the TQ curve it provided.
