Just give the specs to Texas Speed, and they will hook you up.

230/230 .612/.592 LSA 111+2...

it is a comp custom grind but any vendor can order it for you...

7.425 chomoly pushrods & dual springs

it is a great cam

Splittin hair close but the .598 lift would put it on a 234 X-ER lobe..... Thats what I run to help offset the cats compared to the slightly smaller 230/592 exhaust lobe on chrs1313 "El Torro".

Sorry if I seem like I am nit picking but just clarifying little details

Chris,

I'm sure this is a stupid question but, what is the ICL on the cam? I'm assuming since the LSA is 111 and it's +2 advanced the ICL comes out to 109. Didn't Predator spec this cam out originally as a 111+4 an you retarded it 2* for some more PTV?

I'm really thinking that this is the cam for me

nope the lobe numbers are for a certain lift...that is why SOM's cam has slightly larger lift...as the durstion goes up so does the lift for a certain style lobe...so an XFI 228 will have less than .612...hope this helps

yes you are correct my cam is on a LSA 111+4 and if installed dot to dot it was on a 107 ICL, and the intake was a hair close for me but others run it no problem at .072 ish...some push down to .050 with those donkey dick cams...so i just retarded it 2 degrees to become LSA 111+2 on a 109 ICL...that is why i recommend that setup as it is a little safer...all it really does it push your peak power up about 100-150rpm...

This cam is ALOT more then just a spiffy name, it has great results. And it has a fat *** power band and great manners. All i want is a nice streetable 400rwhp/400rwtq cam and this "lEl Torro" should put me there.

It must, it's the "EL Torro". It HAS to be bad ***.

There is no "best" cam. It's all about the combo and your goals. Not nearly enough info in this thread about either for anyone knowledgeable to have an opinion.

As I have said before, I believe that my cam was Predator Z's predecessor to the el-torro cam. I'm happy with my results although my cam wasn't named.

But the results speak for themself. i wanted a nice Tq curve, and this is what I got. Now on to heads shortly...
