port 241s or just buy some 2.5s snd sell mine?
I had my car cammed a while ago and did the TR valvetrain upgrade kit with double springs locks and retainers etc.
With the 241s and already upgraded valvetrain, should I have them P&Pd or should i just buy an already complete set from a sponsor or even the classified section.
Im not looking for max effort but i would like to get the most hp per dollar.
BTW cam is a 230/236 on a 112.
Any info or experience would be a big help....
thanks

have yours milled for some more scr, along with vj and some rev 2.02 valves,
that will improve them some. if not going max effort, y spend it.
many ppl have made decent power with unported 241's if anyhtng have PatG.
spec a cam around your heads and combo for best bang for the buck

id like to keep the cam i have as i plan on nitrous this year. just a 150 shot at most but with heads it should make more than enough power. Which sponsor for 600. that would work. Pm me if you have to

I have been wondering the same thing, I shopped around a little, and was directed towards TEA, they do really good work, just a little more than $600.
You gotta remember though, you get what you pay for. For the same price as a P&P job on some 241's, you can get a good set of 243's. Thats the route I plan I going, the 243's.

CNC the 241s. It's a little over $1100.00 with bigger valves, springs, titanium ret, hard locks. If not, CNC only and setup what you have. The 243s only made a couple more on the big end. TEA and others can make big flow. Something in the 310-316 Int and 240-260 Exh flow. Your cam will like that. Make sure you have the hedders, intake and TB to aid the combo. Happiness is only a few dollars away!! LOL.

I made 380 380 with just cam lid headers and exhaust. I am putting on an ls6 int. p&p tb and a ud pulley. with that stuff i figure i should be right around 400 or so cam only.
Im just trying to figure out if it is going to be worth it to have heads too. Like i said im puttin a 150 shot on it too, but i dont plan on sprayin it every 5 min. My goal is to be an easy 500 on a 100 shot and 150 here and there when i need it to be real quick.
TEA looks like a good option right now. I would love to hear about any examples or experiences anyone has had

I had my 241's ported and had a valve angle job on them, MS4cam and ARH long tubes. Car made 430 RWHP Porting them can be a great and cost effective way to make power. I know I could make more power with a set of ported 243's or a aftermarket set, It would have been out of my price range.
