Default F13

Well, after lond diliberation, my F13 is in the mail, from futral motorsports. Im going with a cam-only set-up for now, but eventually be doing TF 215 heads. I was gonna do it all right now, but i need a trans so im going with a, FLT lvl 4 and a cam for now. went to the track and only picked up 2 tenths between doing 3.90s and then adding an SS4000 because even after the tune the trans was murdering the re-limiter on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. Lookin for an 11 second timeslip after mods are installed. I figured this cam would be good on stock heads and i could use it with the new TFs eventually.

I went 11.8xs(7.7xs in the 1/8th) with my old '02 Z28 that had the F13, a shitty TCI 3K stall and 2.73 gears.

After I sprayed the car it went 7.4xs on motor

You'll be in the 11s easy

whats the specs on the cam? I just bought an RPM5 cam to go along with my Yank 4200 stall and full exhaust so I guess I'm kind of in the same boat!

230/232, .595"/.585"

The F13 is a great cam, mine is running 7.71 with a little 3000 stall. It should go 7.50s with a 4000 stall. The tune is what will make it a breeze to drive around, I tuned mine myself and daily drive it with no issues.

Actually that's ok for the high jack man. Nice to know about the stock rockers. Which springs should I get? Oh, and I'm not getting the high lift version, incase you all wanted to know that. Behive maybe?

Hey 12secss, what are your 60ft times? I'm hitting low 1.60s now and wondering about my rear. Gonna do a 9" next though and go from 3.90s to 4.10s.

My buddy has an F13 in his WS6. Member on this board. Cam, bolt-ons, 4.10 gears and a 3500-3800 stall went 7.5 in the 1/8th on a 1.6x 60'. Full weight, other than bigs and skinnies, 100% stock suspension and tuned by me. Very strong feeling cam on the street also. Good luck with your install!

well, im already cutting low 1.60s with the gears and stall now, just a matter of the trans problem holding me back right now from running low 11s. i need to check my times to see what im hitting atleast in the 1/8th. ill go back to the track after the trans is in in a few weeks and see what i can do, hoping for 12.2-12.3, then i should have everything for the cam swap and we can jump on that and then cut some 11s. Definatly gonna do a rear after the cam swap cause i feel like im already pushing it on the launches. gonna go 9" and 4.10s! the 3.90s are cool but i wouldnt mind alitte more gear, i can stand alot on the street.

Well, i am not sure about the oil pump, but i already have the LS2 timing chain at the house. Im looking at what gaskets i have to buy right now, and i will do an UD pulley as well. The SLP unit is $174, so ill probably go with that one.
