Default Is This Normal (pics)

Doing a FAST intake swap and saw a lot of carbon?, in the intake ports of the heads. Is this normal with a set up like mine (sig)? First picture is with 6K miles after heads and cam install. Second picture is of the stock heads and cam with 19K miles. Thanks

you sure its not oil from the badly designed pcv system.

Looks like those cool pcv oil stains to me, almost like the inside of my intake!!!

when i took mine off for the fast90 swap i found a lil dirt under it. but mine didnt have that much black stuff at all. i have 60k miles with stock 241 heads. and its not beacause i dont drive it hard. lol

I just removed my LS1 intake to switch to a FAST and my intake ports look the same & i am not worried.

It's 100% normal. It's oil that comes from the pvc system and then moves it's way into the intake runners. If you take your heads off the combustion chambers will look the same.
