We can set you up with CNC porting the heads & milling to get the compression up for right abotu $650. That combo will allow you to get your compression where you need it, and we can setup the combo to keep good p/v on your 231/237 camshaft!
The Stage 1 317s are available on our site for a little over $1000, but using your cores it'll only cost about $650. I should have used 317s so we could even do a exchange for you if your in a hurry!!

Lq4 vs lq9 From what I understand lq4 are 99 to 07 and came in 2500s and up. lq9s were 2003 to 2009 and came in Denalis silverado ss and 1500 Silverados that were vortec max
