Default cam question/ can I do this?

Have a 99 Z28 A4 SLP LT's and cats, lid, MAFT. All internals are stock with the exception of Yella Tarra 1.8 rocker arms and Comp 918's. Been looking at different cam options and I know I'm limited by the 1.8 ratio rockers. Considering either a LS6 cam or the Hotcam. Would like some opinions on both. They way I figure it, the lift won't exceed the specs of the springs with either cam, are there any other issues that I need to consider? Which cam would make the most power under the curve? Will daily drivability be affected with the Hotcam?
Thanks fo any input.

hotcam will be choppy, but with tuning should be fine... hotcam should make more power in the 3500-5500 range, while LS6 cam is a top end cam, 4500-6500, but stock like idle...

Thanks Matt.
Anyone else see any issues with 1.8 rockers and the Hotcam on an A4 car?

you'll need a tune, I have an M-6 and the idle is not the greatest especially now that the weather is getting colder with an A-4 it's not gonna idle for ****.

You can run also any of the .525 - .545 lift cams out there too.

I saw a vid of the hotcam in the media section and liked the lope of it. Would someone like More Performance -->, which is the closest place to me that I know of, be able to tune it with an A4 to where it runs well or will it always run shorty shitty, especially around town?
Thanks

John, Looking at cams on Thunders website some are not recommended for use with 1.8 rockers due to fast ramp rates of the lobes. Looked to me that those all seemed to have equal durations like 224/224. Is that a good indicator of a cam with fast ramp rates. Also would something with different durations like Comp Cams 216/220 .525/.532 114 LSA indicate slower rates so better suited to hi ratio rockers?
Thanks
